Common HOA Covenant Restrictions
Some examples of covenant restrictions are below – but a full list can be found in the “Declaration of Protective Covenants” found under the About the HOA & Dues section of our website.
- No exterior construction, alteration, addition, or erection shall be made until plans and specifications showing the nature, kind, shape, height, materials, colors and location is submitted in writing and approved by an Architectural Control Committee (ACC) (i.e. pools, fences, garages, etc).
- Mailboxes must conform to one-standard design provided and approved by ACC.
- No business activity on a lot except with written approval of the Board
- No window air conditioning units.
- No vegetable gardens, compost gardens, greenhouses, or other food source planting allowed
- No animals with the exception of dogs, cats, or other usual and common household pets (i.e. no livestock, poultry).
- No parking of any vehicle in yards. No motor homes, boats, trailers, motorcycles, campers, tractors, or airplanes are permitted on the lot unless out of public view.
- No trailer, tent, barn, poultry house, treehouse, etc
- No fencing can be erected or maintained without prior written consent of ACC. No chain link fencing allowed.
Submit any exterior changes to your property to the Architectural Control Committee
Residents must send, in writing, their plans for any proposed exterior changes or new construction via a “Property Improvement Request” form (below) to the Architectural Control Committee which has 30 days to disapprove it.
This form shall be used for all changes to property, including but not limited to: signs larger than 10 square feet; exterior construction, addition, erection, or alteration upon any lot; exterior antenna for radio or satellite TV; tree removal; fences; window air conditioning units; exterior sculpture, fountains, flags, and similar items; solar energy collection panels or attendant hardware, windmills, or other energy conservation equipment; above ground swimming pools; changes to exterior look of home or improvements; roof type, color of shingles, brick type or color, window coverings visible from exterior; and mailboxes.
